THE YES FOUNDATION LAUNCHES

With conversations centered on how to give back to those with the heart and desire to succeed but who needed a boost financially, the seeds of the YES FOUNDATION were planted about 10 years ago

Members of the Recognition Roundtable were instrumental in providing some early seed money, along with other groups active in business.

It was decided the money would be given out in the form of grants, rather than scholarships, and that anyone, of any age, within the sphere of influence of the Foundation’s board of directors would be allowed to apply.

In 2013 The YES FOUNDATION attained 501(c)(3) status, a critical step in establishing its credibility.

The YES FOUNDATION continues to welcome grant applicants, whether it is someone asking for himself or herself or perhaps a company nominating one of its employees. And for those who believe in its mission and would like to contribute financially, such donations are most welcome, the founders say. The goal has been to create a sustainable Foundation that would be handing out grant money for decades to come.
